Little Ladies

This month we asked Brooklyn, age 5, one of our favorite questions "What do you want to be when you grow up?" See what she said, and what else she thinks about the job world.

Natalie: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Brooklyn: Do I really have to be that or do I get to choose another one.

Natalie: What do you mean?!

Brooklyn: I want to be a gymnastics teacher.

Natalie: What's a job that you don't like doing?

Brooklyn: Is this a joke? I want to say babysitting.

Natalie: What! You don't like watching your sister?

Brooklyn: (laughs) I don't want to be a Good Will person because you have you stand outside even when it's raining.

Natalie: Do you think that it's important to have a job?

Brooklyn: Yeah, so you can get money and buy food.

Natalie: Do you think your job should be fun?

Brooklyn: Yes.

Natalie: Why?

Brooklyn: Because you picked it.
